Leapin’ Lizards! This July, the Spring Lake Theatre invites you to experience the heartwarming classic Annie, the beloved musical that has been stealing hearts for generations. With unforgettable songs, lovable characters, and a story full of hope, this production promises fun for the whole family.

Set in 1930s New York during the Great Depression, Annie follows the journey of a spirited young orphan whose unwavering optimism leads her from the hardships of Miss Hannigan’s orphanage to the home of billionaire Oliver Warbucks. With memorable songs like “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” the show is a timeless celebration of family, love, and resilience.
Directed by Kerry White, with choreography by Christine Baglivio and musical direction by Beth Moore, this vibrant production is produced by Patricia Barry and features scenic and lighting design by Andrew Dagostino. Jackie Drudy serves as the production stage manager.
Willa Hansen stars as Annie, bringing charm and heart to the iconic role. Joseph DeMaio plays the formidable yet warm-hearted Oliver Warbucks, with Lauren J. Cooke as the hilariously conniving Miss Hannigan. Michelle Lucey appears as Grace Farrell, Nick D’Ambrosia as the sly Rooster, and Claudia Noto as the flamboyant Lily St. Regis.
The cast also features a delightful group of young performers as Annie’s fellow orphans: Lucy Phoebus (Molly), Iris King (July), Zoey Carnahan (Tessie), Adelaide Hayes (Duffy), Sunny Carnahan (Pepper), Kay Losinger (Kate), and a talented ensemble including Gwenyth Mencel, Anna Roehrig, Avery Schmidt, Sophia Zavalas, Bridget Gloster, Madeleine Schiavone, Avery Clark, Clara Fiorilli, Emilia Fiorilli, Calla Ibrahim, and Leanne Lardieri. Annie and all of the orphans are members of the Spring Lake Theatre and Dance Academy.
Steve Baglivio portrays President Roosevelt, with Ben Ridner as Bundles, Steven Copp as Lt. Ward and Bert Healy, and Joe Paglino as the Dog Catcher. Kaitlyn Hulme performs as the Star-To-Be, with Gabrielle Greffen, Jade Gordon, and Emily Peters as the Boylan Sisters. Additional featured roles include Fred McCraken (Michael Caggiano), Wacky (Albie King), and Jimmy Johnson (Hobey Peterson).
The production is rounded out by a dynamic ensemble of local talent whose energy and passion light up the stage in every scene.
