Dress Code 2025/2026

*proper shoes must be worn during class all season - not just for performances*

 

Students should refrain from wearing excessive jewelry, accessories & smartwatches. If a student continues to arrive without proper attire (including pulled-back hair), they may be asked to sit and observe. Students should have their names in ALL shoes and on water bottles. Be sure to check the Lost & Found frequently to ensure your belongings go home with you. It is required that everyone enter and exit the building with warmups over leotard & tights.

Theatre Workshop Grades 2-7:
Leotards, leggings/sweatpants, shirts, modest comfortable clothing. White ballet shoes for girls, black jazz shoes for boys. NO JEANS. LEOTARDS MUST BE WORN UNDER ALL CLOTHING. Must have a three-ring, hardcover binder, pencils, and a highlighter.

Theatre Workshop Grades 8-12:

Any combination of black, white, and pink including a leotard, skirt, and white tights
SHOES: White Capezio Daisy ballet slippers & White BLOCH Annie Tyette Tap Shoes
HAIR: Pulled back in a bun or ponytail

5 - 7 year old Tap/Ballet/Jazz Combination Class:

Any combination of black, white, and pink including a leotard, skirt, and tights. No pants/shorts.
SHOES: White Capezio Daisy ballet slippers, White BLOCH Annie Tyette Tap Shoes, and Tan Capezio EJ2 Caramel jazz shoes
HAIR: Pulled back in a bun or ponytail

7 & 8 year old Ballet/Lyrical Combination Class:
Any combination of black, white and pink including a leotard, skirt, and tights.
SHOES: Capezio leather Pirouette 1/2 shoe (Lyrical) & SoDanća pink canvas slippers
HAIR: Pulled back in a bun or ponytail

7 & 8 year old Tap/Jazz Combination Class:
Any combination of black, white and pink including a leotard, skirt, and tights. No pants/shorts.
SHOES: White BLOCH Annie Tyette Tap Shoes & Tan Capezio EJ2 Caramel jazz shoes
HAIR: Pulled back in a bun or ponytail

Ballet/Pointe:
Black leotard and pink tights; skirt optional
SHOES: SoDanća pink canvas slippers and/or professionally fitted and properly sewn pointe shoes (if applicable)
HAIR: Neat ballet bun secured with either a bun shaper, hair net, or bun cover

Lyrical/Contemporary:

Leotard and black or tan tights with optional dance shorts or leggings
SHOES: Capezio leather Pirouette 1/2 shoe
HAIR: Pulled back in a bun or ponytail

9 - 11 year old & Intermediate Tap:

Leotard and black or tan tights with optional dance shorts or leggings
SHOES: Capezio Fluid tan tap shoe
HAIR: Pulled back in a bun or ponytail

7th-12th grade Tap:
Leotard and black or tan tights with optional dance shorts or leggings
SHOES: Bloch Respect black tap shoe
HAIR: Pulled back in a bun or ponytail

ALL Jazz, Jumps & Turns, Musical Theatre:

Leotard and black or tan tights with optional dance shorts or leggings
SHOES: Capezio EJ2 caramel shoe

5-8 year-old Hip Hop:
Dancers must wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
SHOES: Comfortable, movement-friendly sneakers for the beginning of the season. New students will be ordered performance sneakers through studio in January 2026.
HAIR: Pulled back off the face

9-18 year-old Hip Hop:

Dancers must wear modest, comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
SHOES: No Boundaries Women’s White Platform Casual Sneakers
HAIR: Pulled back off face

Junior & Senior Companies:
Black leotard + black tights

Shooting Stars, Rising Stars & Mini Company:
Black leotard + tan tights
HAIR: Neat ballet bun secured with either a bun shaper, hair net, or bun cover
