Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As The Ghost of Christmas Past reminded Mr. Scrooge: “There is never enough time to say or do all the things we wish. The thing is to do as much as you can in the time
that you have.”
What started as a spark of inspiration many years ago has flourished into a remarkableendeavor for the past 35 years, thanks to the help of Mary Jane Burke and Judy Cheche. Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to help literally thousands of families in need. We reach out to school nurses, community groups, the Mercy Center and Catholic Charities to locate these families. Once again we are reaching out to you
to help those families who are struggling to a holiday meal, a special gift and some
common necessities for their little ones.
For a donation of $350 an entire family can be “adopted”. Of course, any donation will be gratefully appreciated! We also welcome volunteers to shop and wrap gifts, as well as deliver them. We welcome our returning volunteers and enthusiastically encourage newcomers. Many of our volunteers involve their own families in this project, promoting the spirit of giving in their children.
Please use this link to support the Christmas Fund. As always, 100% of your donations will benefit the families. The Spring Lake Community House covers all operating costs. Thank you very much for anything that you may do to help. The joy that you give to others is the joy that comes back to you! Merry Christmas.
Most Sincerely,
Pat Barry
