A stage beneath the trees.
A dress-up trunk.
Puppet theaters.
Loose parts.
Outdoor kitchens.
Stories waiting to unfold.

The Play Garden invites children ages 3–6 into a summer filled with movement, imagination, creativity, nature exploration, storytelling, and genuine outdoor play.

Throughout the summer, children may encounter costumes, props, set pieces, and theatrical treasures from past Spring Lake Theatre productions woven into imaginative outdoor play experiences.

Children will spend their mornings outdoors building, exploring, creating, collaborating, moving, imagining, and engaging in the kind of open-ended play that supports healthy childhood development.

Every session includes a blend of outdoor exploration, storytelling, art, movement, sensory play, building materials, dramatic play, and creative invitations inspired by both nature and theater.

Designed and led by Martine LaPorta of Tide & Timber, the program blends child-led outdoor play with thoughtfully facilitated creative experiences that support confidence, resilience, collaboration, movement, and creativity.

The Play Garden is a new outdoor imaginative play program for children ages 3–6 at Spring Lake Theatre this summer.

Less screens.
More movement.
More stories.
